McKay’s script has its knives out for the news’s unwillingness to tell hard truths, social media’s endless conveyor belt of distractions, and a political class more intent on winning elections than pursuing real solutions. – David Sims, The Atlantic.
I thought it was stupid enough to be real.

I’ve not watched this one yet because I heard it can be depressing and I don’t need more “depressing’ during the Holidays! hahahhahaha Also, somehow it said I wasn’t following you anymore.. which is baloney.. because i know I always did. I wondered why a bit a go that I wasn’t seeing your reviews so much anymore.. now I know. Sorry about that! Happy New Year to you Sophia!

Did not find this depressing at all! Even had a few laughs. It’s a satire, which we don’t see enough of. Cate Blanchett’s performance is a classic. Memorable characters too. Well worth watching. Happy New Year Peggy! 🙂

Did you see Nightmare Alley yet? Blanchett is wonderful in that as well. she really rarely ever does wrong! And weird…I’ve kinda tried to avoid tweets about it etc.. but one of the first I saw was that they watched it on Xmas Eve and how depressing it was.. Yikes.. good to know it’s not and now I have something to look forward to!

Nightmare Alley will be released here in the coming weeks. I rarely miss anything directed by Guillermo del Toro, so will watch out for it. Yeah, I probably would not have chosen to watch Don’t Look Up on Xmas Eve, either! 😀
