I hear you! ‘The Wife’ falls within a similar directing category, though the book and screenplay were both written by women. The narrative in ‘The Wife’ provides a partial explanation — the reality of whose voices (still) get heard in the commercially competitive world of film production and literary publishing.

It’s a great movie and well written…I do wish that this movie was written and directed by a woman though. While I applaud the female protagonist, I wish it came from a truly female perspective.
