Dedicated to movie nerdom, nostalgia, and the occasional escape. In the late 90s, I worked at Blockbuster Video, where they let me take home two free movies a day. I caught up on the classics and reviewed theatrical releases for Denver 'burbs newspapers and magazines. While raising two young, beautiful daughters with my amazing wife, I look forward to anything rated R and not Bluey. Comments and dialogue encouraged!

I liked, but didn’t love, the new version. Terrific casting, though, and beautifully filmed. I just didn’t think it was as strong as Alfred Hitchcock’s version…but that may be my old movie bias.

But wait! I wanted to know what YOU thought of the film. I adore Hitchcock and Rebecca is a dear book and the movie version intrinsic to teenage years. I’ve doubt the newer version is better than the classic, but I’m all for seeing the 21st century version to see if it stands on its own merits.
