The other day I was thinking about how dismissive I was re: some TV shows in my youth. For example, when shows like “Murder, She Wrote” and “Dr Quinn Medicine Woman” were on TV, I never watched them because they didn’t interest me at the time. But I might start seeking out these shows because they did have strong female characters and these women carried the series for many seasons. At the time I never appreciated how rare it was to have these kinds of female leads on television.
